We have created this addition to our web page in order that believers and citizens of our community, state and country might become more involved in the political process.  Now is the time to contact all those who are in political authority over us lest we lose more of the liberties that we have enjoyed as a nation.  In the early 1960's we lost the right to Bible reading and prayer in our public schools because Christians and concerned citizens did nothing.  A minority of secular-progressives imposed their agenda upon the majority because the majority allowed them to do so!  NOT THIS TIME!!  "This day we fight!"  And the way we fight is by becoming involved.  And one way that we become involved is by exercising our first amendment right of free speech.  It is to that end that we encourage you to express your opinion to your political leaders.  Let them know how you feel about the current health-care-reform debate.  Make it clear that you do not want the government taking over health care in this country.  Also, let them know that you are concerned about the drastic move of the current administration toward socialism.  If we act NOW, then we have a chance to turn things back in a right direction.

There is little doubt that we have reached a critical mass in this country over which direction America will move in the future.  Will the move be toward European Socialism or American Democracy and individual freedom?  I believe the choice is ours.  If only "the sleeping giant" of conservatives will wake up and act, we can see our country once again become "the shining city set upon the hill!"  A bastion of hope for everyone!

For us, our children and grandchildren,

 Jimmy Hammock, Pastor
